Angel Locsin thanks Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid for their work on new soap’s theme song!

She is back! Angel Locsin is Rhian Bonifacio and she is The General’s Daughter!

Everyone is beyond excited about her upcoming show The General’s Daughter. Aside from its unconventional plot, it houses top of the line actors from various generations. Billed as ABS-CBN’s largest production of 2019, Dreamscape team surely did not settle for less. They’ve got the best of the best! From its actors, to the two musical geniuses who worked together to come up with a new iconic song, the singer songwriter Mr. Ogie Alcasid and the Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid.

In her first presscon as a kapamilya, Ms. Regine Velasquez revealed that she was tapped to sing the theme song of Angel Locsin’s upcoming show. She also made mention that Dreamscape, headed by Mr. Deo Endrinal commissioned her husband Mr. Ogie Alcasid to write the song. Everyone is delighted with this revelation; you can never go wrong with their tandem as it is already tried and tested with the songs they’ve worked together that became a certified hit!

Last Sunday, for the very first time, Ms. Regine Velasquez-Alcasid sung the theme song of The General’s Daughter entitled “Ikaw Ang Aking Mahal” in ASAP Natin ‘To. As expected, she interpreted the song beyond perfection that made it a trending topic all over social media. Praises from the viewers for Asia’s Songbird poured in including one from Angel Locsin, she wrote “Goosebumps everytime kinakanta mo ang “Ikaw Ang Aking Mahal” ang powerful ng words at pagkanta.” She also expressed how honored and thankful she was for The General’s Daughter is the first teleserye in ABS-CBN with which they worked together and made a theme song for.

A very beautiful song for us to appreciate has been born! This will serenade us every night while watching the equally heart wrenching scenes from the newest offering from ABS-CBN and Dreamscape, The General’s Daughter which is set to premiere on January 21!
