Angel Locsin in The General’s Daughter BEHIND THE SCENES!

Billed as the “biggest teleserye of 2019,” The General’s Daughter kicked off the year exceeding all expectations, deserving of all the hype and anticipation. As it debuted worldwide via ABS-CBN traditional and online channels, Angel Locsin wowed viewers with her fast-paced action sequences and never-before-seen technical scale of production that set the bar high for a pilot episode! Ruling its time slot with a double-digit lead against rival show, time and again, Angel Locsin proves that she’s the Action-Drama Queen of primetime!

Despite the arising omnipresence of online streaming and the series being simulcast on ABS-CBN’s online channels like Facebook, Youtube and iWant TV, it gained high viewership and dominated the online world with multiple trending topics on Twitter and other social media platforms.

This new teleserye craze is nonstop making rounds all over the web and ABS-CBN and its production arm, Dreamscape Entertainment are hyped and generous to share highlights and behind the scenes photos of the show that viewers and fans can’t get enough of.

After the pilot episode’s conclusion, Dreamscape Entertainment took to Instagram some behind the scenes photos of the series’ physical preparation to portray authenticity and to give the quality we all want to see on TV. ABS-CBN teamed up with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) for the production of the series and the partnership totally payed off giving us a peek at military life —from putting in extra effort familiarizing protocols to the proper way to do salute and hold a gun. Angel Locsin underwent military and medical training to depict her character, 2nd Lieutenant and Nurse Corps Rhian Bonifacio, to perfection and even shot authentic underwater scenes as what we have witnessed on the series’ debut episode.

The General’s Daughter really set high standards for teleseryes! Tune in every weeknights after FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano!
